After spending a year in America, Kurisu Makise returns to Akihabara and reconnects with Rintarou Okabe. However, their reunion doesn't last long as Okabe starts experiencing recurring flashes of different timelines due to the consequences of his time travel. These side effects eventually lead to Okabe mysteriously disappearing from the world, leaving only Kurisu with any recollection of his existence. In the midst of anguish, Kurisu must make a difficult decision that tests her duty as a scientist and loyalty as a friend. She can either follow Okabe's advice to avoid time travel to prevent any potential damage to the world lines or disregard it to save the person she treasures most. Whichever path she takes will have an impact on the past, present, and future.
