To combat the issue, an international federation has declared the sun as a natural incinerator and established a treaty to process hazardous waste on Jupiter while creating the space environment defense force, Cosmo Ecology. But despite surveillance efforts, polluters are still illegally dumping radioactive waste into the sun, causing an increase in solar flare activity that could turn Earth into a barren wasteland.
