After successfully enrolling at Eden Academy, Anya Forger's role in Operation Strix moves to its second phase. To investigate Donovan Desmond, an Ostanian politician, she must either befriend his son Damian or gather eight Stella Stars and become an Imperial Scholar. Luckily, Anya has already collected one. To celebrate this achievement, Loid, Anya's adoptive father, grants her wish to adopt a dog. During their search for the perfect pooch, Loid receives new orders from his superiors, who have uncovered a group of Berlint University students planning to assassinate Westalis' Minister Brantz using trained dogs. As Loid works to thwart their plans, Anya discovers the base of operations and befriends a kindhearted, clairvoyant dog, who the family eventually names Bond. Even though the Forgers continue to lead secretive individual lives, they remain united through their various challenges, including a new furry family member.
