At the age of 50, the Scientific Boys Club embarked on a project to construct a spacecraft that would traverse the "Ethereal Current," a concept put forth by one of its members' wives suggesting that a vast array of Ethereal energy inundated the universe. Their aim was to journey to Mars using this otherworldly stream, with the intention of substantiating a bygone Martian theory about channels on the planet. However, their mission was fruitless, as the explorers did not discover any signs of life on Mars. In retrospect, both hypotheses were deemed irrelevant. Nevertheless, in a Mars expedition conducted numerous years later, a boulder was unearthed bearing the engraving "Scientific Boys Club 1954."
