The plot of Soul Eater takes place in the Shinigami technical school, where weapon meisters and human weapons are trained. The story follows three groups, each consisting of a weapon meister and a human weapon. Their ultimate goal is to turn their human weapon into a Death Scythe, the highest rank a weapon can achieve and worthy of being wielded by the Shinigami. To do this, they must collect 99 souls of wicked humans and one witch. Maka and Soul Eater, Black Star and Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with Patty and Liz Thompson are the central characters of the series. While attending school, they not only strive to gather souls but also protect the city from powerful creatures. Despite all the challenges they face, they continue to grow stronger and aim for their desired goal.
