In Mushrambo, a deadly virus nearly wiped out humankind, leaving the planet devoid of human life. The Enterrans intervened to save Earth, but their relationship with their creators deteriorated, leading to a war that ended in the Enterrans' victory. As a result, Earth was renamed Enterra. In a desperate attempt to save his daughter and to establish peace between the Enterrans and humans, a scientist placed Yakumo Shindou in stasis, hoping that she would one day find the elusive sanctuary, Shinzo. In the present day, Yakumo awakens and teams up with the Enterran, Mashura, who pledges to help her in her quest. Along with Sago and Kutal, Yakumo embarks on a journey to recover her lost memories and locate Shinzo. However, not all Enterrans welcome the return of humanity, and some will stop at nothing to prevent it.
