He picks the Sugo Garland SF-03 for the 15th Grand Prix and anxiously anticipates the newest Asurada model. However, his resolve to recover from the previous year's letdown is impeded by major changes to the Aoi ZIP Formula team, including Kyoshiro Nagumo taking over as team president and their new driver, Phil Fritz, seeming unbeatable in their new vehicle.
