The Shin Ikkitousen series is an extension of its predecessor, featuring high school students who possess the spirits of Ancient Chinese soldiers from the Three Kingdoms infused into fighters using Magatama. Following a brief truce in the Kanto area's turf war and rehabilitation efforts, the region is once again rife with disorder after Himiko, a formidable leader, launches a "Magatama hunting" operation. On March 27, 2022, the opening episode premiered ahead of the regular TV broadcasts scheduled to commence on May 17, 2022.
