Sailor Stars is similar to the R Season in that it's divided into two arcs. The first one, which is filler, resolves some issues from the SuperS season and brings back the Outer Senshi, Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, and the reborn Hotaru as a child. Meanwhile, the second arc follows the manga's main plot. After Mamoru leaves for America, Usagi meets the Three Lights, a boy band made up of Seiya, Taiki, and Yaten, who take his place. The new villain is Galaxia, a woman who seeks to rule the galaxy by collecting human Star Seeds. The Sailor Starlights, three new Senshi, also appear to help thwart Galaxia's plans without Sailor Moon's intervention.
