Tomoya Aki, a passionate otaku, has built an impressive collection of anime and light novels through his love for stories with compelling characters and gripping plotlines. His ultimate aspiration is to develop a visual novel game that encompasses these same attributes, one that can be enjoyed by others too. Yet, he soon discovers that he cannot achieve this feat on his own. In pursuit of his dream, Tomoya convinces his childhood friend, Eriri Spencer Sawamura, to contribute her artistic talents and enlists Utaha Kasumigaoka, a literary critic, to compose the script. Their diverse range of skills was vital but what they needed was inspiration. For this, Tomoya turns to Megumi Katou, a lovely and serene girl who perfectly portrays the protagonist of his project. With limited knowledge, Tomoya establishes a new "doujin circle" to captivate his players' emotions with his game. However, he soon realizes that in order to evoke genuine feelings, the creators must experience them first hand.
