Haruka Suzumiya, a shy high school student, confesses to Takayuki Narumi, the boy she admires, as the golden sun shines down on them. To her delight, Takayuki accepts Haruka's confession and they are supported by their mutual friends Mitsuki Hayase and Shinji Taira. However, tragedy strikes and one of the friends falls into a coma, leaving the others crestfallen. After three years of slumber, the friend miraculously awakens, shaking the foundations of their bonds and relationships. Their sudden reappearance threatens to test the limits of friendship as the four companions navigate through uncertain times.
