Shirotsugh "Shiro" Lhadatt holds the position of a cadet in the Royal Space Force (RSF) of the Kingdom of Honneamise. However, he and his fellow cadets have never had an opportunity to go to space since no one has ever made this journey. The RSF's endeavors are often considered unsuccessful by both the country's citizens and a government that is more focused on starting a war with a neighboring nation instead of concentrating on scientific accomplishments. Shiro meets Riquinni Nonderaiko, a zealous and religious woman who is genuinely intrigued by space exploration, while wandering through the city at night, demotivated after the funeral of a fellow cadet. Over time, Riquinni's support motivates Shiro to volunteer as a pilot for a possible rocket ship, with the prospect of becoming Honneamise's first astronaut. Shiro, along with the aging but eager group of scientists and engineers, collaborates with the RSF to revolutionize the nation's space program. However, their breakthroughs capture the government's attention, which seems to have its own plans for the RSF. Despite the odds being against them, this group of men and women maintains their unwavering space ambitions since the solution to redeem humanity might just lie amid the expanse of space.
