The "Metal Fight" games have become the premiere televised sport in the future world, drawing a vast array of robot competitors all vying for the coveted title of Best Metal Fighter. Kurenai Ken has his sights set on becoming the next champion and, with the begrudging assistance of Saeba Shoko, he takes control of the Super Robot Fighter, Red Baron, to enter the contest. Despite his unwavering determination, Ken faces an overwhelming number of adversaries hailing from around the globe - from Kaizer, who just so happens to be Shoko's estranged father, Tetsuo Saeba, to the skilled Tetsumen Tou ("Iron Fist") medical practitioners, Tiger and ShinRon.
