Once again, war has consumed the continent of Atlatan due to the tragic events at the Great Hall. Sir Alexis Douse and Lady Marrine Kreische's marriage, which was meant to signify peace between the Fantasia Union and the Factory Alliance, quickly became a nightmare. In the midst of the ceremony, a powerful force known as "Chaos," emanating from a parallel dimension, disrupted the wedding and summoned the Demon Lord of Diabolos. The assassination of both archdukes dashed any hope of maintaining peace. Despite her efforts, Alliance mage Siluca Meletes was unable to prevent the tragedy. She now journeys through the Chaos-infested lands, seeking training under a master magician. While being pursued by Federation soldiers, she is rescued by warrior Theo Cornaro. Theo possesses a special symbol known as the "Crest," which can banish Chaos, and aims to become a Lord to free his hometown of Sistina from a cruel ruler and the spreading Chaos. Impressed by Theo's mission, Siluca forms a magical contract with him, and the two set out to restore balance to their war-torn land.
