"Reawakening Memories" depicts Akane's abrupt reminiscence of her visit to Ryugenzawa during childhood, where she was rescued from a dangerous encounter with a platypus by Shinnosuke. Upon revisiting the place, Akane reunites with Shinnosuke, who falls in love with her. Burdened by guilt over Shinnosuke's severe wounds, Akane makes a commitment to aid him in his recovery, despite Ranma's displeasure. With suspicions of Akane's romantic interest in Shinnosuke, Ranma is determined to win her affection at all costs.
