If you're enjoying this, and want to see the best Kenshin media available go watch the 1999 4 episode OVA called Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuioku-hen (Remeberance Chapter) also called 'Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal for the English Dub) Also, please don't watch the dub, it's fine for the series, but not for this, the voice acting is perfect for the tone and characters in the Japanese original language version. The OVA covers Kenshin's life during the Bakumatsu Period when he was the Hitokiri. It's still, in my opinion anyway, the best OVA ever made, even a quarter of a century later. (FLCL is also amazing but more because of how revolutionary it was at the time, now that sort of manic, psychotic, nerdy nonsense is available everywhere.) If you're looking for the best time to watch the OVA, I'd recommend at the end of this Arc of the series. But it's absolutely fine to watch it whenever however it'll have more impact on the follow arcs (assuming they get animated).Oh and whatever you do, don't watch the 2nd OVA series 'Rurouni Kenshin: Reflections' that came out in 2003 or 2004, it's a travesty, completely non-canon just made up focusing on Kenshin's final years (including his death, do you really wanna see that?) and it really only serves to undermine and destroy all the values, lessons, relationships he developed over the various story arcs. It will depress you to no end and because it's not even canon, just made up nonsense, it's miserable and will make you miserable. Just avoid it.Then there's that stupid 'New Kyoto Arc' which was basically just a cheap cash grab that is so boring and irrelevant it's worth ignoring. Again, just watch the First OVA, leave all the other's alone. Trust me, you'll regret doing otherwise.
