Mika yearns for the day when she can finally go to the beach with her father. Unfortunately, his already hectic schedule is constantly interrupted with impromptu work obligations. On the rare occasion when he finally has some free time, his intense phobia of the ocean prohibits him from fully enjoying the experience alongside his daughter. After yet another cancellation, Mika is left to amuse herself in a small kiddie pool with her only companion being Juju, an inflatable dugong. However, her mundane day takes a sudden and surreal turn when Juju miraculously comes to life and offers to take her to the seaside in her father's stead. As Mika clings onto Juju for safety during their oceanic voyage, she begins to question whether this adventure is more than she anticipated.
