Beginning July 10, 2014, the Psycho-Pass Extended Edition served as a summary of Psycho-Pass and a preface to Psycho-Pass 2's release in the same year. Rather than the original 22 episodes, this series shortened it to 11 45-minute episodes, weaving in allusions to events mentioned in the authorized novel. To link two consecutive episodes, there are new scenes at the start and middle of each episode. Furthermore, the scenes received an upgrade in quality, with fixes to several glitches and improved special effects, especially concerning the Dominator.
