Episode 1 spoilers Honestly i was pretty hyped up for this anime, but it was kinda disappointing. I knew it was going to be a bit stereotypical anime when i went in but wow. I don’t like the sudden love interest in the first episode and its some dumb guild leader with a boring design. The real only good character design in this show so far would probably be the MC, and it still sucks how she already got her identity revealed first ep. Theres a lack of strong women and cool characters in general like how the girl side characters so far is a healer and stuck in a boring basic side relationship with the other boring basic party member that nobody remembers, and a shy cute girl as the mcs coworker. Also the random misogyny like how it couldn’t be a woman cause theyre strong?? Maybe its the historical setting but combined with the weak and shy women really says something. It’s not like the men make up for the bad women designs either, theyre just as bad.I liked the part near the end of this episode, so maybe they got their shit together but in all the character designs are really flat (you cant name more than one character trait other than kind or something) which is understandable for a new comedy anime but they aren’t likable either.
