During Prince Edward's burial ceremony, the primary succession contenders are hotly debated amongst the Kingdom of Albion's nobles. Princess Mary, second in line, and Prince Richard, Duke of Arkham and third in line, are the top candidates. In addition, the nobles speculate on the intentions of the Duke of Normandy during this time of uncertainty. The Duke of Arkham approaches Princess Mary asking for her support, but Mary's goal of achieving a world of equality is shattered by the realization that the Duke of Arkham was responsible for Prince Edward's murder. The Commonwealth assigns Ange and Dorothy to infiltrate the royal family as Mary's maids to assess the situation. Mary is overwhelmed by the pressure of being first in line and feels defeated. Meanwhile, the Duke of Arkham's plan starts to unravel amidst the chaos around the throne's succession. As the turmoil intensifies, it appears that the ominous forces within the Kingdom of Albion are poised to overcome Team White Pigeon.
