Known affectionately as "Pompo," Joelle Davidovich Pomponette is a highly skilled film producer who inherited her grandfather's extensive network and keen cinematic sensibilities. Despite her promising start, Pompo opts to produce only cheesy B-movies. However, everything changes when she entrusts her assistant, Gene Fini, with an ambitious screenplay centered around the life of a composer, announcing that he will earn his debut directorial credit. Dedicated to making the movie a masterpiece, Gene immerses himself completely in his work. Yet, as the deadline approaches and his workload increases, the aspiring director faces the difficult reality of what must be sacrificed to bring the vision to life.
