Tokyo's rapid expansion as a major city necessitates sacrifices, including the reduction of space for nature and wildlife to thrive. Unfortunately, many animal communities, such as the magical shape-shifting Tanuki, feel the damaging effects of urbanization. As the Tanuki struggle to protect their forest from being engulfed by an expanding Tokyo, territorial battles arise among different factions, leaving many with nowhere to hide. In light of this, Oroku, an elder Tanuki, determines that action must be taken for the community's survival. The Tanuki band together, armed with their shapeshifting skills, to thwart construction efforts and defend their home and future generations. However, their sabotage operations prove to be difficult, and the Tanuki must decide if they will remain united or succumb to anger and pain in the face of destruction. Will the Tanuki be able to reclaim their forest, or will humanity win the war?
