An announcement has been made by Bandai Channel regarding their plan to adapt Petit Eva ~Evangelion@School~ into a video format. This is a spoof spinoff of the famous anime Neon Genesis Evangelion that portrays the main characters as classmates at Nerv School in Tokyo-3. Principal Gendo Ikari and Misato-sensei are their leaders. The official announcement will be published in Japan's Newtype magazine in September. The students in the series include the three Rei "sisters," a school bully named Evanchō who now embodies the EVA-01 mobile weapon, and JA-ko, a hidden character who emulates the previously unlucky Jet Alone robot and is now an android girl with a shy demeanor. Ryuusuke Hamamoto has created the character designs, which have influenced the development of four-panel gag manga serializations in distinguished magazines. Petit Eva has also established a wide range of merchandise, including super-deformed figurines and limited-edition Doritos corn chips. This "first official super-deformed series" is a comedic take on the original anime and has earned its own devoted fan base.
