The Babylon Project brings a massive revamp to Tokyo’s neighborhoods through artificial islands constructed in the Bay, thanks to specialized robots called Labors. The project advances quickly until a prominent individual tied to its initiation dies under suspicious circumstances. This prompts Captain Kiichi Gotou to task his Patlabor police squad with investigating the matter. As Labors start to malfunction and an AI program becomes hacked, jeopardizing the safety of Tokyo’s residents, Noa Izumi, a youthful pilot, and her Patlabor, Alphonse, join forces with Gotou’s team to foil a nefarious scheme of biblical proportions and rescue the city and nation.
