The world of dreams provides a unique insight into the workings of the human mind, unveiling our deepest desires, aspirations, and forgotten memories. A group of scientists is currently developing the "DC Mini", a tool that promises to explore the nocturnal visions of individuals. Atsuko Chiba and Kosaku Tokita are determined to bring this technology to life, with the hope of using it to cure psychological ailments by uncovering the root of their patients' problems. However, gaining access to someone's innermost thoughts comes with an enormous responsibility. Misused, the DC Mini could easily become a weapon capable of inflicting severe psychological damage, leading to a total mental breakdown. When the device gets stolen and strange behavior begins to emerge, Atsuko and Kosaku realize they are in deep trouble. They turn to Officer Konakawa, who has been undergoing experimental therapy, and together they embark on a mission to scour both the real and dream worlds in search of the culprit behind their mental troubles.
