Siddhartha was born into the Shakya clan in India as a prince 2500 years ago. However, he gave up his royal status to explore the world. While wandering, he meets Assaji, a boy with the gift of future foresight, and a one-eyed monk. Seeing the suffering around him, Siddhartha desires to spread peace. Meanwhile, Prince Ruri of Kosara attacks the Shakya clan.
