The upcoming OVA will focus on the character of Heizou, popularly known as "Oni no Heizo" due to his imposing presence among the thieves and outcasts of the Edo Period. The story revolves around a young person who delves into Heizou's history and his group of "dogs" (informants), aided by fans Kumehachi, Hikujou, and Omasa. Enthralled by their tales, the protagonist journeys to Heizou's secluded residence in Mejirodai, where they encounter Hisae, his wife, and uncover a connection to their own pursuit.
