Tomoko, a young girl, goes to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial where she encounters Sadako, a little girl who was just two years old when her city was bombed during WWII. Sadako passed away at the age of eleven due to the devastating effects of radiation poisoning. During their enigmatic meeting, Sadako takes Tomoko on a thought-provoking adventure.
