In Edo during the mid-1800s, Seikichi Tamaya, a fireworks manufacturer, and his associates encountered challenges in following the strict moral regulations set by the uncompromising city councilor. These laws prohibited any indulgences, including fireworks. During this time, an extraordinary young woman came to Seikichi's business and made an uncommon request: to create a firework that could reach the moon.
