Natsume Yuujinchou's third season follows Takashi Natsume's journey as he navigates his ability to see supernatural beings, yokai, which had previously led him to be ostracized. After finding his grandmother Reiko's "Book of Friends," accompanied by his guardian Nyanko-sensei, he embarks on a quest to return the names of the yokai within it. Along the way, he finds a sense of belonging with the Fujiwara family and makes friends in school. However, his peaceful life is soon disrupted as he becomes embroiled in unexpected conflicts.
