SUMMARY
During World War II, in 1945, a girls' school in Hiroshima had its second and third-year students sent away to work in war factories. As a result, the remaining 220 first-year students found themselves as the only teenagers in a town that had become almost deserted due to the war. Despite the challenges and scarcities they faced, they tried to make the most of their situation. However, on August 7th, everything changed when an American bomber dropped an atom bomb, causing devastating repercussions. Today, on the 43rd anniversary of Hiroshima, we remember the girls who lost their lives to this tragic event.
