The protagonist, Morita Mayu, is a calm high school student who seems aloof because she maintains eye contact for too long and often remains silent. However, her introversion is not due to her aversion to socializing or lack of things to say. Instead, she overanalyzes situations and misses the perfect timing to speak up. Despite this, Mayu experiences a happy and satisfying school life with her classmates.
