The Mobile Suit Gundam Seed series has inspired three TV movies. Included in the series are: The Empty Battlefield (Kokuu no Senjou), The Far-Away Dawn (Harukanaru Akatsuki), and The Rumbling Sky (Meidou no Sora). The year is CE 70 and the war between Naturals of the Earth Alliance and genetically-enhanced Coordinators of PLANT has reached a boiling point. ZAFT, PLANT's military, reigns supreme thanks to their powerful mobile suits, unmatched by the mobile armors of the EA. Kira Yamato, a Coordinator residing in the neutral colony of Heliopolis, becomes entangled in the war when he discovers the EA's top secret project: the Gundam. Faced with the decision to fight against his own kind to protect his Natural allies aboard the EA battleship Archangel, Kira must choose whether to defend his friends or let the Archangel fall to the four other Gundams stolen by ZAFT.
