The year is 2311 AD, and the world has transformed from a place of inter-continental conflict to one of unity under the leadership of the Earth Sphere Federation (ESF). To combat violent terrorism, the ESF created the A-Laws, a military task force with legal power to eradicate these groups. However, the A-Laws become corrupt and abuse their authority, subjecting the citizens of Earth to their rule. Responding to the oppressive tactics of the A-Laws, Celestial Being, an anti-terrorist group, returns with their advanced mobile suits, known as Gundams. They engage in a new war against the A-Laws to put an end to their tyrannical ways. Guided by Setsuna F. Seiei, the pilot of Gundam Exia, along with his comrades Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism, and Tieria Erde, they fight to overthrow the A-Laws. Along the way, Setsuna uncovers a conspiracy led by the Innovators, a new faction, and must confront his own personal demons and painful memories to save a world that views him with disdain.
