Sawako Machida, aka Miss Bernard, frequents the school library holding a book, but her main agenda is not to read it. She deems it too demanding and, instead, chooses to feign being learned. Unfortunately, avid readers and book enthusiasts among her peers are displeased with her disingenuous demeanor. Ironically, Miss Bernard spends considerable time in the library with the oddball bibliophiles, and unexpectedly garners insights and bonds.
