SUMMARY
As the new millennium approaches, Ginei Studio's rundown structures face demolition. Genya Tachibana, a former employee turned filmmaker, seizes the opportunity to create a tribute documentary centered around the studio's shining star, the elusive Chiyoko Fujiwara - a beloved actress from the Shouwa Era. After finally securing a meeting with the reclusive actress, Genya enlists the help of jaded cameraman Kyouji Ida to help immortalize his lifelong idol. Nestled deep within a mountain sanctuary lies a lifetime of history waiting to be shared. Chiyoko guides Genya and Kyouji on an ethereal journey that transcends time and space, weaving together her personal experiences with the golden age of Japanese cinema. The border between reality and fantasy is blurred as Chiyoko's past collides with her illustrious filmography, and the characters and actors from her life merge seamlessly with those on the silver screen. Though she retired thirty years earlier, Chiyoko's narrative is far from over - the grand finale still waiting to be crafted.
