To seek refuge, Mei retreats to her abode where she stumbles upon a juvenile Nekobasu. They reconcile amicably and fast-track their bonding as compadres. When night falls, the Nekobasu pays Mei a revisit and extends an invitation to an electrifying escapade in the animated woods, signaling the inception of their enthralling odyssey.
