Yuuichirou Hikari, Netto's father, has unearthed a novel scientific advancement. He has discovered "Synchro chips" that initiate "cross fusion" in a "dimensional area," thus allowing the operator and their navi to meld in the physical world. Yuuichirou conducts a trial run with Misaki Gorou but the outcome is not favorable. Despite Netto stepping forward to test the cross fusion with Rockman, his father declines as it poses a serious threat to the health of the operator and has the potential for fatal outcomes while fighting in reality.
