This franchise follows the story of wizards who collect mazica to protect the world. Kezuru, a junior high student, wakes up from a dream where he's a wizard with a creature called "mazin" and a mysterious girl. His friend Kuracchi shows him the newly launched Mazica Party card game, and to his surprise, the characters match his dream. Curious about an event at major company Mazica, Kezuru goes to the Mazica Store and meets the CEO, Jeff Johns, who gives him the Mazica Gear and says "I have great expectations for you." On his way home, Kezuru is attacked, but his Mazica Gear summons a magic book and seals a contract with Barunya, a remixed fusion of an airship and a cat. The mysterious girl Anya believes Kezuru and his kind will be the wizards that save the world. Kezuru enrolls in the Mazica Academy and battles with his partner mazin in Mazica Party card battles amidst these revelations.
