Due to changes in her father's job, a young girl is forced to move from the city to the countryside and attend a new school where her classmates keep their distance. She finds herself drawn to a boy but fears his potential rejection and refrains from pursuing a closer relationship. The isolation and unfamiliarity of her rural surroundings cause her to resent her new life and long for the city. However, she unexpectedly encounters a mystical wind god, which allows her to experience the kindness, love, and fears of childhood in a magical, ephemeral fairy tale. This story is the product of the Anime Tamago 2016 young animator training program, where Kaze no Matasaburou is one of four projects.
