Joining the police force of Tawagoto precinct, Yumi Takeshita exudes a cheerful demeanor. Her life was forever changed when she narrowly avoided being struck by a truck during her middle school years, all thanks to the aid of an unknown Samaritan. Many years later, Yumi finally crosses paths with her rescuer, Tohru Ichidaiji, who had since become a magician. Enchanted by the reunion, Yumi turns to Tohru for his skill and assistance as she navigates the strange tasks assigned to her as a police officer.
