Lupin, Goemon, and Jigen take a mini-helicopter towards the mysterious "Drifting Island" to embark on a treasure hunt. However, they are met with an obstacle - the deadly "Nanomachine" security system protecting the island. With their exploration halted, the trio decides to seek answers in the once-thriving Zufu nation, now under the rule of knife-wielding General Headhunter. Fujiko manages to uncover important information by hacking into the General's computer. Meanwhile, Zenigata receives a video message from Lupin, who expresses his desire for the priceless treasure. The group teams up with Oleander, a fiery blond officer with her own secrets, and returns to the "Drifting Island," only to find themselves pursued by General Headhunter.
