Chika Takami always deemed herself an unremarkable girl, lacking notable abilities or involvement in extracurricular activities. That all changed when her travels brought her to Tokyo, revealing the enchanting world of school idols - a stage where anyone could shine. Inspired by the accomplishments of μ's, the renowned school idol group, Chika resolves to establish her own club at her hometown's Uranohoshi Girl's High School, situated by the seaside. However, student council president Dia Kurosawa poses a considerable roadblock to her aspirations. Nevertheless, Chika stumbles upon transfer student Riko Sakurauchi from Otonokizaka High School, where μ's was born, and recognizes her potential as a valuable addition to her team. Despite Riko's reluctance to join, Chika remains unyielding in her pursuit to create a school idol group as outstanding as those who preceded her.
