Keitaro became a Toudai student after successfully passing his entrance exams. However, his life goals were called into question when he broke his leg during the entrance ceremony. This incident gave him a newfound sense of purpose, prompting him to join Seta on an archeological trip abroad. In the meantime, trouble erupted at Hinata Lodge with the arrival of Keitaro's sister, Urashima Kanako, who declared herself the new manager. Kanako's decisions didn't sit well with the tenants, and tensions escalated when a letter from Keitaro arrived. However, the situation became even more complicated when Seta had a car accident, preventing anyone from reading the letter.
