However, as time progresses, Ryou develops a deep passion for the sport and becomes dedicated to improving his skills. His hard work pays off when he earns a spot in the prefectural tournament, despite not having a coach to help him reach his full potential. Instead of attending a prestigious high school with a renowned badminton program, Ryou chooses to continue playing for fun at a local institution. But everything changes when a coach from Yokohama Minato High School approaches Ryou about joining their team. The school is known for its exceptional badminton program, featuring top players like Kento Yusa, who Ryou idolizes. Though hesitant at first, Ryou's sister encourages him to take the opportunity. With a newfound commitment, Ryou sets high goals and trains under the guidance of a skilled coach. He hopes to eventually surpass Yusa and become a true badminton champion.
