The world's population has drastically reduced in a not-so-distant future, thanks to a lethal virus that plagued the globe. People have shifted to consuming synthetic food and have become averse to physical interaction with living beings. Brick and mortar shops have become obsolete, and communication between individuals is limited to online platforms, barring community centers (erstwhile referred to as schools). Despite the tightly monitored and structured society, a group of young girls is hell-bent on experiencing genuine human connections. As a string of barbaric killings come to light, the girls are all set to challenge the status-quo and break open the sealed world they live in.
