Similar to numerous children of his generation, Kakeru possesses a strong passion for Live On, a card game. Despite making consistent attempts, he inevitably undergoes defeat on each occasion. However, Kakeru's fate transforms entirely when he saves a small, dog-like being from a group of sinister individuals. Unbeknownst to him, the "canine" is, in fact, a Create Monster that grants Kakeru a rare Live Change card. Fueled by his newly acquired strength, Kakeru shields his newfound companion and unexpectedly finds himself immersed in an exhilarating escapade.
