The Free Planets Alliance suffered significant losses due to a mismanagement of supplies during their invasion of the Galactic Empire. Despite being outnumbered, Fleet Admiral Lazar Lobos led the remaining fleets to the Amritsar Starzone for a final stand against the approaching counterattack. In the ensuing battle, Imperial forces led by Fleet Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm had a significant advantage thanks to his strategic genius. However, Vice Admiral Yang Wen-li of the Alliance, known for his tactical expertise, compensated for his superior's incompetence and narrowly managed to save himself and his comrades. Though neither Reinhard nor Yang were satisfied with the results - Reinhard for his flawed victory and Yang for the substantial loss of life - they had to shift their focus to the emerging political turmoil on both sides of the galaxy.
