Two new leaders emerge to break a 150-year stalemate between the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. Reinhard von Lohengramm, a hopeful military strategist, and the reticent historian Yang Wenli each lead their respective factions towards a path of change. Reinhard enlists childhood friend Siegfried Kircheis to overcome the ailing Goldenbaum Dynasty and rescue his sister from the Kaiser, with the ultimate goal to unite all of humanity under one leader. Meanwhile, Yang advocates for democratic principles and guides his protégé Julian Mintz in demonstrating the ineffectiveness of autocracy. Amidst mounting casualties, the two leaders confront the root of their conflict as their ideologies collide.
