Tiara, a princess hailing from the kingdom of Waleland, embarks on a voyage to the highly-regarded Mamkestell metropolis to enroll in an elite academy specifically designed for those who master the art of magic, just like herself. Upon acing a grueling assessment to demonstrate her eligibility, Tiara reunites with her childhood buddy, Rosetta, who is also a student of the institution. She then proceeds to become acquainted with Rosetta's group, consisting of the sporty Lavie, the dependable Ashley, and the scholarly Lynette, and quickly becomes close to all of them. At this academy, students are categorized in terms of their test results, with group Noir being the most prestigious, followed by Rouge and Lapis. Tiara's companions are members of the Lapis division, a rank with high stakes as those who flunk while in it are at risk of expulsion. With the gravity of their predicament dawning on them, Tiara rallies her group to approach their tasks with more zeal. Furthermore, Tiara has a personal objective to strive for during her tenure at the academy: to emulate her elder sister, a highly gifted singer. But to achieve the level of excellence she desires, Tiara and her comrades must persevere through various obstacles as they progress on their magical odyssey.
